Arvind Kejriwal’s Court Plea For Insulin, Eating Mangoes, Sweets, Tihar Jail: AAP’s “Plan To Kill” Claim admin, April 18, 2024 Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who was arrested last month in an alleged liquor policy scam case, is a Type 2 diabetes patient. His party, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), claimed that he is not being given insulin despite repeated requests. The plea for his medical treatment will be heard at 2 PM according to news agency ANI. The AAP leader, Atishi, alleged a “conspiracy to kill” Mr. Kejriwal. The probe agency’s lawyer informed the Rouse Avenue Court that the Chief Minister’s diet, including mangoes, sweets, and tea with sugar, is not advised for diabetics and opposed his request for a video consult with his regular doctor. Atishi criticized the Enforcement Directorate (ED) over claims that Mr. Kejriwal ate bananas to increase his blood sugar level and emphasized that the court order allows him to have home-cooked food, bottled water, and a supply of toffees while in custody. The probe agency believes that the Chief Minister played a key role in the now-scrapped liquor policy and sought bribes for liquor licenses. Mr. Kejriwal has challenged his arrest in the Supreme Court, but the court has refused an early hearing, and his case is scheduled for April 29. This case has gained significant media attention and is evidently a matter of public interest. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal
