Hyderabad Lok Sabha Election: Madhavi Latha BJP Candidate Questions “Imaginary Arrow” in Mosque Origins

Madhavi Latha, the BJP candidate for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha seat, recently came under scrutiny after a video of her surfaced. In the video, she is seen dressed in saffron, mimicking the act of shooting an arrow towards a building, which is followed by the sound of loud music. The video pans to show a mosque at the point she pretends to fire the arrow, sparking criticism. In response, Ms. Latha issued a statement professing to apologize if anyone’s feelings were hurt, while also claiming that the circulated video was incomplete.

She emphasized that she was gesturing the shooting of an imaginary arrow towards the sky on the occasion of Ram Navami and was not targeting the mosque as portrayed in the video. She further accused the AIMIM of orchestrating a conspiracy against the BJP and attempting to incite negativity and hate. However, this was met with strong opposition from the AIMIM leader, Mr. Owaisi, who denounced the provocative actions of the BJP and asserted the importance of maintaining peace and fraternity in Hyderabad. The political atmosphere in Telangana is charged as the Lok Sabha elections approach, with Mr. Owaisi’s party calling on the Election Commission to take action.

In the upcoming elections, all 17 seats in Telangana will vote on May 17 and the results will be announced on June 4.
