He is originally from Hyderabad. He was recently attacked by four armed robbers near his house in Chicago, leaving him injured and his phone stolen. This incident has raised concerns, particularly following the deaths of four Indian-origin students in the United States this year. CCTV footage shows Mr. Ali being pursued by three of his attackers near his house in Chicago. He was returning home with a food packet when he was attacked and pleaded for help. In another incident, 19-year-old Shreyas Reddy Beniger, a student at the Linder School of Business in Ohio and an American passport holder with parents in Hyderabad, was found dead. Foul play was ruled out in this case. Additionally, Purdue University student Neel Acharya was found dead on the university campus after being reported missing. Vivek Saini, from Haryana, was fatally assaulted by a homeless man in Georgia.
