Nitish Kumar takes a dig at Lalu Yadav with “Itna Bal Baccha” comment; Tejashwi offers advice

Nitish Kumar addressed a poll rally in Bihar and sparked controversy by taking a dig at his former ally Lalu Yadav and his “many children”. Kumar’s remarks seemed to target Lalu Prasad’s family without naming anyone specifically. He criticized the involvement of Lalu Prasad’s family members in politics and questioned the benefits of such personal remarks for the people of Bihar. Tejashwi Yadav, Lalu Yadav’s son, responded by questioning the relevance of such remarks and emphasizing the importance of discussing issues such as education, employment, and migration.

Opposition leaders also criticized Kumar’s comments, suggesting that he is making personal attacks due to nervousness about his political prospects. The controversy erupted amidst the ongoing election campaigns, as the BJP and its allies gear up for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Nitish Kumar’s party, JDU, is set to contest on 16 seats, while the BJP will contest 17 seats in the state. Chirag Paswan’s LJP will fight on five seats, indicating the complexity of alliances and competition in the state.
