Gautam Gambhir praised the Bengaluru-based franchise for their ‘phenomenal character’ in a recent match against KKR on his official X (formerly X) account. RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis won the toss and chose to field first. Phil Salt’s quick 48 runs and contributions from Shreyas Iyer, Rinku Singh, Andre Russell, and Ramandeep Singh led KKR to a total of 222/6 in 20 overs.

RCB’s Cameron Green and Yash Dayal were among the successful bowlers, with Green taking 2/35. In response, RCB lost early wickets but a strong partnership between Will Jacks and Rajat Patidar gave them hope. However, KKR’s Andre Russell and Sunil Narine’s spells turned the game, and RCB fell just short with a score of 221 in 20 overs.
