Government Worker Murdered in Targeted Attack in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir

Another tragic incident has occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, as a government employee, Mohammad Razaq, was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen. The attack took place as Razaq was leaving a mosque in the Shadra Sharief area of Rajouri. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries. Razaq, aged 40, was employed in the social welfare department.

Security forces immediately responded by initiating a large-scale search operation in an attempt to locate the assailants. This recent incident adds to a string of targeted attacks in the region, following the shooting deaths of two non-locals in Anantnag and Herpora districts. In Anantnag, a migrant worker from Bihar was fatally shot in a similar targeted attack, while a resident of Dehradun fell victim to a terrorist shooting in Herpora just a week prior. These events highlight a concerning trend of violence in the area.
