Why did the sadhus give a warning of self-immolation to CM Bhajan Lal Sharma?

The sadhus gave a warning to CM Bhajan Lal Sharma during a two-day visit why he committed suicide. On the last day of the two-day tour, CM Bhajan Lal went for a morning walk and then went to the Banke Bihari Mandir. After this, he inaugurated a public hearing center. During this time, a large number of people, including some sadhus, were present in front of the CM with their grievances.

The sadhus warned about their problems and said that if action was not taken soon, they would be forced to commit suicide. In fact, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma inaugurated a public hearing center during the Bharatpur tour. More than a dozen sadhus arrived at this public hearing center. All these sadhus were local and had their faith associated with the Kaliya Pahad.

These sadhus gave CM Bhajan Lal Sharma a memorandum, which was about stopping illegal mining. They said that Kaliya Pahad is not just a mountain but it is associated with the faith of sadhus and local people. They mentioned that their livelihood is at risk due to illegal mining. Illegal mining is also causing damage to the surrounding villages’ crops and endangering the lives of wildlife.

They also warned the CM that if illegal mining is not stopped soon, 11 sadhus will commit suicide. The appointment of 11 sadhus willing to commit suicide has been made. The CM assured them that action will be taken in this regard. Furthermore, the CM assured the sadhus that action will be taken soon regarding illegal mining.
