Indian CEOs Express Concerns to UK Leader About Robberies and Rolex Thefts in London

He highlighted that many Indian CEOs have experienced physical mugging in the city, and emphasized the lack of police response as a worrying issue. According to Mr. Narang, the prevalence of theft from individuals, which includes items like watches, mobile phones, and handbags, increased by 27% last year compared to 2022.

This surge in crime has turned into a political concern in Britain, especially with an upcoming national election. The Metropolitan Police conducted two operations in Soho, Mayfair, and the southern part of Kensington and Chelsea to address the issue.

The first operation, held from October to December 2022, resulted in a 28% decrease in watch robberies across the three boroughs. The second operation, conducted from March to October 2023, led to a 15% reduction in watch robberies in the same areas.
