10 Key BJP Leaders Queue to Join Trinamool Ahead of 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

Mr. Banerjee claimed during a road show in a Lok Sabha constituency in Murshidabad that the party would open its doors at the right time and ensure that the BJP would be eradicated from the state. The BJP spokesperson, Samik Bhattacharya, responded to Mr. Banerjee’s claim by stating that the Trinamool would disintegrate like a pack of cards after the Lok Sabha elections, dismissing Mr. Banerjee’s statements as political rhetoric. He attributed these remarks to the frustration of the Trinamool Congress over their losses in West Bengal.

The Trinamool Congress won the 2021 assembly polls, securing 213 out of 292 assembly seats, while the BJP won 77 seats.
