In a recent interaction, Virender Sehwag revealed that an English broadcaster’s request to include him in its panel was turned down by him. He responded to their offer by saying, “But you can’t afford me.” Despite their insistence to provide a price, Sehwag set his fee at GBP 10,000 a day, which they acknowledged they couldn’t meet. During the same interaction, Sehwag disclosed that he was once offered $100,000 by a BBL franchise but declined the offer.

This conversation arose when Adam Gilchrist asked Sehwag if Indian players would consider playing in the Big Bash League. Sehwag humorously stated that Indian cricketers have sufficient wealth and therefore see no need to play in other leagues. Sehwag further explained that when he was dropped from the Indian team, the BBL offered him $100,000 to participate in the league. However, he dismissed the offer, stating that he could spend that amount during his holidays, jokingly adding that his latest bill alone exceeded $100,000.
