3 Indian Women Die in US After SUV Overturns, Lands in Trees admin, April 27, 2024 Three women from Gujarat, Rekhaben Patel, Sangitaben Patel, and Manishaben Patel, all residents of Anand district, died in a car accident in the US. The SUV they were traveling in careened off the road, crossed all lanes, and flew over a bridge in Greenville County, South Carolina. The car was found stuck on a tree, shattered into pieces, showing the high speed at which it collided with its surroundings. Chief Deputy Coroner Mike Ellis mentioned that the SUV was traveling above the speed limit. He confirmed that no other vehicles were involved in the accident. Mr. Ellis described the accident as unprecedented, as the vehicle jumped 4-6 lanes of traffic and landed in trees approximately 20 feet above the ground. Emergency response teams, including the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Gannt Fire and Rescue, and Greenville County EMS units, arrived at the scene. The driver survived and is being treated at a local hospital, with uncertainty surrounding their condition. Family members were alerted to the crash by the vehicle’s detection system, after which they informed local authorities in South Carolina.
