2024 Lok Sabha Elections: Priyanka Gandhi Adds a Twist to BJP’s ‘Ab Ki Baar’ Slogan

She asserted that the people have decided to oust the current government due to rising inflation and unemployment, and bring in a dispensation that prioritizes serving them. During her speech on the BJP-led government’s failures and the Congress’ commitments, Ms. Gandhi was interrupted by someone chanting a slogan in her party’s favor. She took the opportunity to criticize the BJP and PM Modi, emphasizing the changing public sentiment and the need for truth over theatrics.

Furthermore, she emphasized the voters’ desire for leadership that honors traditional values and serves the people, highlighting the responsibility of leaders to tell the truth and prioritize public welfare. Ms. Gandhi also cited an encounter with a voter in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh, who planned to vote based on religion and caste, highlighting the negative impact of such mindsets on the voters themselves. Additionally, she criticized the current leadership for prioritizing personal agendas and religious narratives over addressing critical issues such as infrastructure, education, and employment. Ms. Gandhi also expressed her disappointment with Prime Minister Modi’s focus on irrelevant topics instead of highlighting his achievements to gain voter support.
