3 Indian Women Killed in US After Speeding SUV Goes Airborne and Crashes into Trees

Three women from Gujarat, Rekhaben Patel, Sangitaben Patel, and Manishaben Patel, were tragically killed in a car accident in the United States. They were residents of Anand district in Gujarat. The SUV they were traveling in veered off the road in Greenville County, South Carolina, crashing over a bridge.

The driver survived and is currently receiving treatment at a local hospital. According to the Greenville County Coroner’s Office, the SUV, traveling northbound on the highway, crossed all lanes, climbed an embankment, and then soared at least 20 feet into the air before crashing into trees on the opposite side of the bridge. The chief deputy coroner stated that the SUV was traveling at a speed above the posted limit, and no other vehicles were involved in the accident.

The car was found stuck on a tree, shattered into multiple pieces, showing the high velocity of the crash. This type of accident, where a vehicle travels at such a high rate of speed, jumps across multiple lanes of traffic, and lands in the trees approximately 20 feet, is described as unprecedented. Emergency response teams, including the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Gannt Fire and Rescue, and multiple Greenville County EMS units, arrived at the scene.

The sole survivor of the accident was reported to be injured and hospitalized, with uncertainty surrounding their condition. Family members were alerted to the crash by the vehicle’s detection system, and they then informed local authorities in South Carolina about the incident.
