Election Commission Requests AAP to Change Campaign Song for Lok Sabha Elections 2024; Atishi Questions BJP’s Song

The AAP has been in conflict with the Enforcement Directorate regarding the arrest of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and other leaders associated with the Delhi liquor policy case. The AAP contends that this case is fabricated.

They also accused the Election Commission (EC) of not addressing alleged violations of the model code of conduct by the BJP. The EC stated that a certain advertisement, which does not mention the BJP and allegedly does not violate the model code of conduct, should be modified.

The advertisement, which includes factual videos and incidents, was released at the party headquarters on Thursday. Mr. Kejriwal is set to have his plea challenging his arrest heard by the Supreme Court on Monday.

He had previously told the court that his arrest was an assault on the principles of democracy. In response to the Enforcement Directorate’s reply on his petition challenging his arrest, Mr. Kejriwal expressed concern about the mode, manner, and timing of his arrest in relation to the Lok Sabha elections and the model code of conduct.
