Comedian Shyam Rangeela to Challenge PM Modi in Varanasi Election

Rangeela recently took to X to express his excitement about the support he has been receiving after announcing his decision to contest elections from Varanasi. He promised to share his views on his nomination and election campaign through a video message after his arrival in Varanasi.

In an earlier post, Rangeela explained his decision to contest elections from Varanasi, citing uncertainties surrounding candidate nominations. During a media interview, Rangeela discussed his previous support for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party, as well as his decision to now run as an Independent candidate in opposition to the Prime Minister in the Lok Sabha polls.

He emphasized that his candidacy would provide voters in Varanasi with an alternative choice, unlike in other constituencies such as Surat and Indore. Rangeela also sought input from his social media followers on whether he should file his nomination as an Independent candidate from Varanasi.
