Comedian Shyam Rangeela to Challenge PM Modi in Varanasi Electoral Contest

Rangeela recently announced his excitement and gratitude for the support he has received after declaring his intention to contest elections from Varanasi. He mentioned that he would soon share his views on his nomination and campaign through a video message upon reaching Varanasi. Earlier, he stated his decision to contest the elections from Varanasi due to the uncertainty surrounding nominee withdrawals.

In a media interaction, Rangeela revealed his shift from supporting Prime Minister Narendra Modi in 2014 to now contesting against him as an Independent candidate. He emphasized the changed circumstances over the past decade and his intent to provide the people of Varanasi with an alternative choice in the upcoming elections. Rangeela subsequently sought the opinion of his social media followers on whether he should file his nomination as an Independent candidate from Varanasi.
