Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress, Referring to Years of Plundered Nation

Amit Shah criticized the INDIA alliance, saying that after a long wait, the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was finally obtained. He mentioned that the Congress has criticized the way the Pran Prathishtha was done, but he warned that if they come into power, they will put a Babri lock on it. Shah also accused the Congress of engaging in dynastic politics, with leaders like Lalu Yadav and Mamata Banerjee wanting family members to hold key positions. Shah also took aim at the Congress over Article 370, claiming that while the Congress did not act against it, Modi abrogated it, effectively combating terrorism. He further alleged that the Congress had engaged in corruption for many years, and confirmed that the Modi government would hold corrupt individuals accountable. He praised the progress in Uttar Pradesh under the double engine government and credited Yogi Adityanath for restoring order in the state. The spotlight on Amethi and Raebareli has intensified, with Rahul Gandhi contesting in Rae Bareli and a close aide of the Gandhi family competing against Smriti Irani in Amethi.

The Congress, which won just 2 seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, saw its tally decrease to one in 2019 after losing Amethi.
