Amit Shah Takes Aim at Congress: “Country Plundered for Many Years

Amit Shah criticized the INDIA alliance, emphasizing the significance of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. He countered the Congress’ claim that the Pran Prathishtha was not performed correctly, suggesting that if the Congress were to take power, they would seal the temple. Shah also condemned dynastic politics in which leaders like Lalu Yadav and Mamata Banerjee strive to secure political positions for their family members. He stressed that electoral seats should be determined by the people and not by family lineage.

Shah also contested the Congress’ stance on Article 370, asserting that it was Modi who repealed it and effectively curbed terrorism. He further maintained India’s claim over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir and accused the Congress of corruption, vowing that the Modi government would hold the corrupt accountable. Additionally, Shah applauded the governance in Uttar Pradesh under Modi and Yogi Adityanath, highlighting the developmental achievements in the state such as the establishment of expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park. He also praised Yogi Adityanath for his efforts in eliminating criminal elements from the state.

Amidst this, the constituencies of Rae Bareli and Amethi, considered strongholds of the Gandhi family, have regained significance. With Rahul Gandhi contesting from Rae Bareli and Kishori Lal Sharma fielded against Smriti Irani in Amethi, these constituencies have drawn attention. The Congress, which had won only two seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, saw a further decrease to just one in 2019 after losing Amethi.
