Amit Shah Takes Aim at Congress: “Country Looted for Many Years

Amit Shah attacked the INDIA alliance, expressing his satisfaction with the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after a long wait. He criticized the Congress, stating that they have expressed dissatisfaction with the Pran Prathishtha, and warned that if the Congress were to come into power, they would put a lock on the temple. He accused the Congress of engaging in dynastic politics, citing examples of leaders like Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi who appear to be pushing for family members to hold political positions. Shah emphasized the importance of allowing the people to decide on political representation, rejecting the idea of reserved seats for specific families.

Shah also criticized the Congress for their stance on Article 370, highlighting the Modi government’s decision to revoke it. He attributed a reduction in terrorism in the country to this action and asserted India’s claim to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He labeled the Congress as corrupt and promised that the Modi government would take action against corrupt individuals. Additionally, Shah praised the governance in Uttar Pradesh, specifically crediting the development in the state to Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

He referenced the state’s infrastructure and industrial projects, such as expressways, metro networks, medical colleges, film city, and toy park, and lauded the efforts to tackle criminal elements in the state. A noteworthy development in the region is the renewed focus on the Amethi and Raebareli constituencies, historically associated with the Gandhi family. This shift follows Rahul Gandhi’s candidacy in Rae Bareli and the nomination of Kishori Lal Sharma, a close aide of the Gandhi family, to contest against Smriti Irani in Amethi. The Congress had secured only two seats in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, which dwindled to one in 2019 after losing Amethi.
