Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress for Plundering the Country for Many Years

Amit Shah, in a speech, criticized the INDIA alliance and slammed the Congress for various reasons. He claimed that the Congress engages in dynastic politics, with leaders like Lalu Yadav and Sonia Gandhi wanting family members to hold powerful positions. He emphasized the importance of letting the people decide who represents them in government, rather than any specific family.

Shah also condemned the Congress’s stance on Article 370, asserting that it was Prime Minister Modi who took action to abolish it, claiming that this move has helped in reducing terrorism and asserting India’s control over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Furthermore, he accused the Congress of widespread corruption and promised that the current government would hold those responsible to account. Praising the development in Uttar Pradesh under the leadership of Modi and Yogi Adityanath, Shah highlighted the infrastructure projects and the government’s efforts to tackle crime.

He emphasized the state’s progress through the implementation of various initiatives, including expressways, a metro network, medical colleges, a film city, and a toy park. Notably, Shah mentioned the constituencies of Amethi and Raebareli, traditionally stronghold areas of the Gandhi family. The Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has entered the race in Rae Bareli.

Similarly, the family’s close aide Kishori Lal Sharma has been fielded against Smriti Irani in Amethi. Noting the decline in the Congress’s performance in Uttar Pradesh, Shah pointed out that the party had only won two seats in 2014 and one in 2019, emphasizing the diminishing influence of the Gandhi family in these areas.
