Robert Vadra’s Thoughts on Taking a Political Role by Contesting From Amethi

Robert Vadra, the husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, hinted at his potential entry into politics in an interview on Monday. He mentioned receiving calls of support from party workers across the country, including Amethi in Uttar Pradesh.

Vadra expressed gratitude for the growing support and the appearance of his posters in various places. Amethi, once a stronghold of the Gandhi family, was won by Smriti Irani in the 2019 elections.

Vadra believes that the people of Amethi are eager to rectify their previous decision and see him as a potential candidate capable of securing a victory with a significant margin. Despite facing allegations from Irani in the past, Vadra stated that he would not enter politics to challenge anyone.

The 55-year-old businessman from Moradabad also stated that he would extend full support if Rahul Gandhi decides to contest from Amethi. He emphasized that he does not need to actively participate in politics to engage with the people, as they can always approach him in case Rahul or Priyanka are not available.
