Amit Shah Takes Swipe at Congress for Plundering Country for Many Years

Amit Shah criticized the INDIA alliance, expressing satisfaction with the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya after a long wait. He took aim at the Congress, stating that if they were to come into power, they would place a Babri lock on the temple. He also accused the Congress of engaging in dynastic politics, giving examples of Lalu Yadav, Mamata Banerjee, and Sonia Gandhi’s family members aspiring for significant political roles. Shah emphasized the importance of people’s decisions in determining political representation, without any reserved seats for specific families.

Shah also condemned the Congress’s stance on Article 370, highlighting Prime Minister Modi’s decision to abrogate it and asserting control over Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He labeled the Congress as corrupt and pledged to hold corrupt individuals accountable under the Modi government. He praised the development in Uttar Pradesh under the “double engine government” of Modi and Yogi Adityanath, mentioning infrastructure projects and efforts to address law and order issues in the state. The focus then shifted to recent developments in two historically significant constituencies, Amethi and Raebareli, which have been traditional strongholds of the Gandhi family.

Shah commented on the entry of Rahul Gandhi in the Rae Bareli election and the selection of Kishori Lal Sharma as a candidate against Smriti Irani in Amethi. He mentioned the decline in Congress’s seats in Uttar Pradesh over the years, specifically noting the loss of Amethi in 2019.
