Kiccha Sudeep discusses Darshan Thoogudeepa and Pavithra Gowda in “Justice Different From Friendship” case

Darshan Thoogudeepa and his co-star, Pavithra Gowda, along with 11 others, are currently in police custody. Allegedly, Gowda had influenced Darshan to “punish” Renuka Swamy for making derogatory remarks on social media. Kiccha Sudeep emphasized the importance of justice for Swamy’s family and condemned the act, stating that the guilty should be punished regardless of where the incident occurred. The investigation revealed that Darshan and his associates took Swamy to a shed in Bengaluru’s Kamakshipalya, where Swamy was brutally beaten until he lost consciousness.

The assault resulted in multiple fractures and severe injuries. Swamy’s body was later discovered by a food delivery rider, and the autopsy confirmed the brutal nature of the murder, citing shock and hemorrhage as the cause of death. Darshan had reportedly attempted to frame three men for the murder, offering them Rs 5 lakh each, but they were exposed during police interrogation. The case has sparked widespread outrage and led to protests throughout Karnataka.

The severity of the incident has attracted attention and condemnation from the media and the public, reflecting a call for justice for the victim and accountability for the perpetrators.
