Prajwal Revanna’s Brother Alleges Threat of False Sex Abuse Case in Karnataka Sex Scandal

Prajwal Revanna, a former JD(S) MP, was recently sent to judicial custody. His brother, Suraj Revanna, a leader of the Janata Dal-Secular, is now facing allegations of sexual assault from multiple women. Suraj Revanna has claimed that he is being threatened with a false case of sexual assault by a man in Karnataka’s Hassan. The complaint was filed by Suraj Revanna’s friend, Shivkumar, against two men – Chethan and his brother-in-law.

According to Shivkumar, the two men demanded Rs 5 crore and threatened to file a sexual abuse case against Suraj Revanna if their demands were not met. Shivkumar reported that Chethan initially approached him seeking help to find a job, but later resorted to blackmail after failing to secure employment. Following the filing of the case, Chethan appeared on a private channel, alleging that he had been sexually abused by Suraj at a farm house. These events have unfolded after Prajwal Revanna was incarcerated, as the cases of sexual abuse emerged due to the circulation of explicit videos reportedly involving him.

The videos were distributed before the Lok Sabha polls in Hassan. Consequently, JD(S) suspended him from the party, and the BJP distanced itself from the investigation, with its state unit boss emphasizing the party’s lack of association with the videos. Amidst these developments, a police case has been filed against HD Revanna, the father of Prajwal and Suraj Revanna, for allegedly kidnapping a woman who claimed to have been raped by both men. Furthermore, the former MLA and Public Works Department Minister was granted bail in the kidnapping case and the subsequent sexual assault case.
