Lucky Ali Accuses IAS Officer and Husband of “Land Grabbing admin, June 22, 2024 IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri’s tenure has been surrounded by controversies. A complaint was filed with the Karnataka Lokayukta Police by a 65-year-old individual, alleging misuse of state resources by Sindhuri to unlawfully occupy his land in Yelahanka’s Kenchenahalli area. The complaint points to alleged involvement of Sindhuri’s husband Sudhir Reddy and brother-in-law Madhusudan Reddy in orchestrating illegal “land grabbing” through financial exchanges. Lodged under Section 7 of the Karnataka Lokayukta Act, 1984, the complaint raises serious concerns about administrative misconduct, terming it as a “dereliction of duty” and calls for an investigation. This legal action is the latest development in the long-standing dispute over the ownership of the family trust-owned farmland of the complainant. The dispute emerges from December 2022 when Lucky Ali publicly addressed the issue on social media and tagged the Karnataka Director General of Police. He alleged that the Reddys, said to have ties to the “Bangalore land mafia” and supported by Rohini Sindhuri, encroached upon his property illegally. Ali asserted rightful ownership of the land for over 50 years and expressed frustration over what he described as complicit behavior by the police in supporting the encroachers. Aside from this dispute, IAS officer Rohini Sindhuri’s tenure has been marred by other controversies, including a high-profile dispute with IPS officer D Roopa Moudgil. Ms. Moudgil shared private photos of Sindhuri online, resulting in a legal battle that led to both officials being transferred by the Karnataka government. Rohini Sindhuri
