The local administration has been closely monitoring the situation and taking necessary steps to assist affected residents and manage the aftermath of the natural disaster. In response to the severe damage caused by continuous rainfall in the Karsingsa area, the Office of the Deputy Commissioner of Capital Itanagar announced the immediate closure of the road from Nirjuli to Banderdewa. This decision was made after a thorough site inspection by the District Administration, Police, and Highway Department, due to a portion of the road sliding down and a culvert being washed away, rendering the route impassable. All traffic has been diverted via Gumto as a result. Furthermore, several landslide incidents have been reported in various places in Arunachal Pradesh following heavy rainfall, with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issuing a weather forecast predicting heavy rain and potential isolated heavy rain occurrences over the next five days. Additionally, light to moderate rain is expected in most places in Arunachal Pradesh over the next seven days, as forecasted by the IMD. Meanwhile, the southwest monsoon has made its arrival in Maharashtra in regions like Navsari, Jalgaon, Amravati, Chandrapur, and in different regions like Bijapur, Sukma, Malkangiri, Vizianagaram, and Islampur.
