Wedding Chaos: Groom and Family Assault Bride’s Family Over Lack of Fish in Menu

Videos from a wedding in Uttar Pradesh have surfaced, showing a chaotic scene with punches being thrown and chairs being flung. The incident took place during a wedding where paneer, pulao, and various curries were part of a lavish spread, but there was no fish or meat.

This absence of non-vegetarian food frustrated the groom and his relatives, leading to a violent altercation with the bride’s family. The situation escalated to the extent where kicks and punches were thrown, and the bride’s family was beaten with sticks, eventually resulting in the wedding being called off.

Abhishek Sharma led the marriage procession to Anand Nagar village in Deoria district to marry Sushma, the daughter of Dinesh Sharma. The ceremony was going smoothly until the groom was informed about the lack of non-vegetarian fare, which led to a confrontation.

As a result, the groom, his father, and other individuals began using abusive language and physically assaulted the bride’s family. The bride’s father filed a police complaint, alleging assault and dowry demands.

The complaint also disclosed that a substantial amount, nearly Rs 5 lakh, had been given as dowry, including money for purchasing a car, a tilak set, and gold rings. The bride’s family’s complaint shed light on the escalating tensions and violent outburst at the wedding, highlighting the seriousness of the situation.
