Indore Sets World Record with 1.1 Million Saplings Planted in One Day admin, July 14, 2024 Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav recently received the official certificate from the Guinness Book of World Records after Indore broke the world record for planting the most saplings in a single day. The Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt congratulations to the people of Indore and attributed the achievement to their participation and dedication to the cause of cleanliness and environmental conservation. Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and with the honorable presence of Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, Indore successfully set a new world record by planting over 11 lakh saplings in just one day. The previous record was held by Assam with 926,000 saplings planted in a single day. The Guinness World Record’s consultant, Nishchal Barot, confirmed the breaking of the old record by Indore and handed the certificate to CM Mohan Yadav. The mega plantation drive was meticulously prepared over 46 days and was monitored through 100 cameras in 9 zones and 100 sub-zones at the plantation site, Revati Range. Urban Administration Minister Kailash Vijayvargiya and Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava praised the citizens and various organizations that contributed to the success of the plantation drive.
