Boy Electrocuted During Muharram Procession In Uttar Pradesh: Police

In Tarabganj area at about 1 pm, a Tazia procession was taken out on Muharram, and it came in contact with a high-tension wire. This contact resulted in burn injuries sustained by Ashraf (12) and Riyasat. They were promptly taken to a medical college for treatment, where Ashraf was sadly declared dead, however, Riyasat’s condition was reported to be stable. In a separate incident in the Telianpurwa village in Itiathok area, four people, including a woman, were injured in a similar incident when the Tazia came into contact with an electricity line.
