Woman Alleges Inappropriate Behavior by Jindal Group Executive on Flight; Naveen Jindal Responds

The woman and the executive were on a flight from Kolkata to Abu Dhabi. She is the founder of an organization working on menstrual rights and was traveling to Boston, with a transit flight to Abu Dhabi on Etihad Airways. During the flight, she reported that a senior executive at a Jindal Group company, Dinesh Kr Saraogi, behaved inappropriately, showing her explicit content on his phone and then groping her. She sought help from the Etihad staff, who immediately intervened, and the police at Abu Dhabi were informed.

However, she was unable to file a complaint as it would have caused her to miss her connecting flight to Boston. Despite the incident, she shared her story on social media, tagging Naveen Jindal, the Chairperson of Jindal Steel, to make him aware of the situation and express her concerns about the executive’s potential treatment of female employees. In response, Mr. Jindal assured her that the matter will be thoroughly investigated and strict action will be taken against the executive. The woman expressed gratitude for his support and stated that she will be awaiting further action.

She emphasized the importance of speaking out about such experiences and expressed a desire to prevent similar incidents from happening to others.
