The continuous rainfall resulted in a sudden rise in the Mandakini River’s water level, leading to the evacuation of the Gaurikund temple, with people being relocated to a safer place. NDRF, SDRF, police, and other emergency services, including hospitals, are on high alert. Rudraprayag District Magistrate Saurabh Gaharwar reported that the cloudburst at Bhim Bali on the Kedarnath walking path led to a landslide, damaging about 20-25 meters of the path. Around 200 pilgrims have been safely accommodated at Bhimbali GMVN, with no loss of life. The rising water level of the Mandakini river prompted the evacuation of the Gauri Mata temple in Gaurikund, with devotees being relocated to a safer place.
