Mia Khalifa, Former Adult Film Star, Seen on Religious Billboard in Tamil Nadu

The police took down a hoarding that was part of the Aadi Perukku festival decorations. This particular hoarding depicted Mia Khalifa carrying a traditional milk vessel, which seemed out of place in the context of the religious celebration.

The Aadi Perukku festival involves rituals and decorations in temples dedicated to Goddess Amman. In Kuruvimalai, the Nagathamman and Selliyamman temples were adorned with festive lights and hoardings as part of the celebrations.

However, the hoarding featuring Mia Khalifa alongside traditional religious imagery drew attention and sparked a debate after photos were shared on social media. The hoarding also included images of local individuals in an Aadhaar card-style format.

Following public outcry, the police were alerted and took prompt action to remove the hoarding. Local authorities have not provided an explanation for how the image of Mia Khalifa came to be used in the hoarding, leaving it unclear whether it was a deliberate act or an unintentional error.
