PM Modi Congratulates Neeraj Chopra for Olympic Silver in a Message titled “Excellence Personified

The Paris Olympics 2024 saw defending champion Neeraj Chopra taking silver with a throw of 89.45 meters. PM Modi commended Chopra’s excellence and expressed India’s joy at his Olympic success, stating that he will continue to motivate aspiring athletes.

Despite a strong performance that included a record-breaking throw, Chopra’s challenge for gold was hindered by a series of foul throws. Arshad Nadeem of Pakistan clinched the gold medal with an Olympic record of 92.97 meters, while Anderson Peters of Grenada secured the bronze with a 88.54-meter throw.
