BJP Takes Swipe at Uddhav Thackeray Over “Those Born In Family Of Millionaires…

Mr Bawankule announced that 25 lakh women in the state would be sending Rakhis to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Raksha Bandhan in appreciation of the Ladki Bahin scheme. He noted that the first instalment of the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Bahin’ scheme would be deposited in women’s accounts on August 17. He accused Uddhav Thackeray of attempting to mislead women with misinformation about the Ladki Bahin Yojana, stating that those born into wealthy families would not understand the scheme’s value.

Mr Bawankule expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Eknath Shinde for introducing a scheme that provides Rs 1,500 per month (Rs 18,000 per year) to women, enhancing their self-respect and self-confidence. He criticized the Congress-led government in Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh for discontinuing similar schemes after coming into power, and accused Uddhav Thackeray of supporting parties that lie to the people. Mr Bawankule highlighted the BJP’s commitment to implementing long-term schemes in states where they are in power, such as in Madhya Pradesh.

He stated that the MahaYuti government’s decision to provide free electricity to 42 lakh farmers was historic. Additionally, former Satara Zilla Parishad President Manikrao Sonwalkar and many of his supporters joined the Bharatiya Janata Party, strengthening the party’s organization in Satara district.
