He predicted a clean sweep of all 29 parliamentary seats in the state. Specifically, he anticipated victory in Rajgarh, where Digvijaya Singh is contesting, and in Chhindwara, the constituency of former Chief Minister Kamal Nath, now represented by his son Nakul Nath. Chouhan told NDTV in an exclusive interview that he believed Singh would not be successful in Rajgarh and that Kamal Nath’s credibility was at stake. Chouhan welcomed former Congress members who joined the BJP, stating that those who desire to contribute to the “movement of national reconstruction” are embraced by the party. He commented on the perceived disillusionment of Congress workers and emphasized the party’s lack of leadership, policy, and direction. Chouhan took pride in the BJP’s performance in the recent assembly elections, even though he was not offered the top leadership position. He described his rigorous campaign schedule, highlighting his commitment to connecting with constituents and addressing their concerns. Chouhan also expressed confidence in the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Madhya Pradesh. Discussing his own electoral prospects, Chouhan expressed gratitude for the support he had received from the people during his three terms as Chief Minister. He viewed the entire Lok Sabha constituency in the state as his family and stressed his dedication to connecting with voters. Chouhan is running for the Vidisha parliamentary seat, a constituency he represented five times prior to becoming Chief Minister, and is currently the MLA from the Budhni assembly seat, which falls under the Vidisha Lok Sabha constituency.
