Choose Sharad Pawar’s Daughter-In-Law as Baramati’s representative: Ajit Pawar

Ajit Pawar’s wife, Sunetra, is the candidate for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) in the Baramati Lok Sabha seat in Pune district. She is facing off against her sister-in-law, Supriya Sule, who is the sitting Lok Sabha MP and the daughter of Sharad Pawar. Baramati is the home turf of the Pawar family and has significance in the political landscape of the region.

During an address to party workers in Baramati, Ajit Pawar urged the public to support Sunetra Pawar in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. He emphasized that voting for Sunetra would not break the tradition of supporting the Pawar family, as the constituents have previously elected different members of the family to represent them. Ajit Pawar appealed to the voters to maintain balance by electing Sunetra this time.

Expressing concern over family members not actively supporting him in the past, Ajit Pawar hinted at the repercussions of their actions and warned of consequences should he decide to speak openly. Elections to the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra will be held in five phases from April 19 to May 20, with polling in Baramati scheduled for May 7.
