The Edmonton police released a statement indicating that Southwest Branch patrol officers had responded to a report of a shooting in the area of Cavanagh Boulevard Southwest and Cherniak Way Southwest. At the scene, they found three injured males: two were deceased (49 years old and 57 years old), and a 51-year-old male was seriously injured. The surviving male was taken to the hospital with serious life-threatening injuries.
