Gym Owner in Mumbai Accused of Raping Woman Under Pretense of Offering Job

The gym owner has been charged under relevant provisions of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. According to an official at the Juhu police station, a 24-year-old woman from Unnao in Uttar Pradesh has accused the businessman of assault and rape. The woman alleges that he raped her in Mumbai, Goa, and Lucknow after first meeting him in 2019.

The accused had promised to employ her at a good salary for a planned gym in Mumbai. After calling her to a business meeting, he allegedly assaulted her in a Juhu hotel. Despite the charges, the accused is yet to be arrested.
