MK Stalin’s Twist on PM Modi’s ‘Modi Ki Guarantee’ for Tamil Nadu Lok Sabha Election 2024

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin recently made critical remarks about the Prime Minister’s frequent visits to the southern state, referring to them as akin to migratory birds. This comparison was made in connection to the upcoming elections, with the Chief Minister questioning the Prime Minister’s intentions and guarantees for the state. Notably, this is not the first time such a comparison has been made towards the Prime Minister, as the ruling Trinamool Congress in Bengal also used the “migratory bird” analogy in the past.

The Chief Minister also highlighted Tamil Nadu’s opposition to certain national policies, particularly concerning education and agricultural support. He further expressed the need to repeal certain controversial laws and emphasized the importance of reflecting the people’s voices in the state’s manifesto.

In preparation for the upcoming elections, Mr. Stalin presented several promises, including reducing fuel prices, advocating for specific reservations and rights, and addressing various social and political issues. The outcome will be revealed on June 4, with the previous 2019 election seeing the DMK-Congress alliance securing a substantial victory in the state.
